Hiram H. Jones, Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Hiram H. Jones, Jr., 94, was called home by his heavenly father on February 22, 2021. He was born in Harlan County Kentucky, on Feb. 3, 1927. In 1953, he married Lois Addison and in 1960 moved to Morristown where they worked side by side in his accounting practice, Craine, Thompson and Jones, from which he retired from in 2014. Besides being a loving husband, father and grandfather, he was an active member of First Presbyterian Church where he taught Sunday School for over 40 years. Hiram was preceded in death by his wife Lois, son Thomas M., parents: Hiram J. Jones, Sr. and Arrie Wilson Jones; brothers and sisters: Earl Jones, Ida Belle Van Pelt, Hamp Jones, Minnie Leonard, Roxie Houk, Ruby Huff, Smith B. Jones, Jon Jones and Grace Jones and his son: Thomas M. Jones. Hiram is survived by his son: Ronnie; daughter: Mira (James) Craine; grandchildren: Tim Jones, Carrie (Alex) Trexler; and their mother, Debbie Jones; grandsons: Matt (Kristin) Craine, Bowe (Mary Jo) Craine, and granddaughter, Abbe Craine. Great granddaughters: Hayley, Morgan and Jenna Kate Trexler and great grandson: Jackson Craine. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Resthaven Cemetery in Harlan, KY. Family and family may sign the guest book at Mayes Mortuary at their convenience on Friday, February 26. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 600 W. Main Street.
