Obituary

Roy H. Douglas, born 1933, Apr 3 of Dandridge, TN, passed away On Fri. January 15, 2021.

He was a Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War. He reached the rank of Chief Boatman’s Mate and served 28 years.  He retired from Allied Chemical Company and was an avid farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Whaley Douglas and parents: Floyd and Anna Lou Douglas.

Roy is survived by his sons: Eddie (Regina) Douglas and Jerry (Karen) Roberts. Grandchildren: Tyler (Lexie) Douglas, Patrick Senior, Kevin Senior and Dustin Roberts along with 9 great grandchildren. Good friends, John and Becky Daniel and his faithful dog, Lulu.

Visitation with his family will be Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mayes Mortuary.

Military graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tues. Jan. 19, 2021 at Beech Springs Cemetery, Kodak, TN. Rev. Tom Munson officiating.
