Obituary

Patsy N. Douthat Dunlap, age 82 of Morristown, TN, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2021 at her home surrounded by family.  Patsy was the daughter of Hugh and Ruth Nenney.  She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Kenneth Douthat, first husband, Hal Douthat and half-sister Wanda (Alonzo) Fowler.  She is survived by husband Melvyn Dunlap, son Richard Douthat (Kathleen) of Knoxville; grandsons, Brian Douthat (Sulenne) and Patrick Douthat of Knoxville, and Alex Douthat (Caroline) of Chattanooga.  She began her career at Berkline, but soon took an administrative position at Morristown Hamblen Hospital where she advanced to Personnel (Human Resources) Director, a position she held until her retirement.  Pat’s true joy was her children and grandchildren, but she also enjoyed painting and square dancing where she was a member of the Cloverleafs of Morristown for many years.  Special thanks to AllCare and the loving care provided by Teresa Hogge and Casey Cross.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 10:00 AM in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
