Lula E. Spires West of Bean Station, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband Alonzo West Sr; her son Alonzo West Jr; her parents Willis and Clara Spires and three brothers and two sisters, and a special niece Frances West. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law Gene and Lillian Spires; a daughter-in-law Roberta (Bertie) West; a step-grandson Terry and Sarah Cannon of Knoxville, and step-great-granddaughter Abigail C. Cannon of Knoxville, and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Heritage Center for their good care. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Mayes Mortuary. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Valley View Cemetery with Rev. Randy Brook and Rev. Aaron Alder officiating.
