Lois Garrett

June 7, 1936 - June 27, 2009

Lois E. Garrett, Morristown, born 06/07/36, died Saturday morning, June 27, 2009, at St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Halls, after a valiant fight with lung cancer. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Morristown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne B. Garrett; son, Jeffrey A. Garrett; great granddaughter, McKinley Garrett; mother, Bessie Cluesman Roberts; father, Dewey Cluesman; brothers, Earl Cluesman and James Cluesman, and sister, Lucille Wilson. She is survived by her daughters, Connie G. Trobaugh and husband, Victor, and Sharon E. Male; her son, Wayne B. Garrett, Jr. and wife Sybil; grandsons, Michael G. Jarnagin, Jr. , Brandon W. Jarnagin, Josh Garrett, Matthew Yount and Andrew Yount; granddaughters, Megan Bowman and husband Todd, Emily G. Trobaugh and Abigail Garrett; very special granddaughter-in-law, Angie Jarnagin; great grandchildren, Micah Jarnagin, Ashton Jarnagin, Sydney Nix, Kennedy Garrett, Zoe Garrett and Zachary Bowman; brothers, Carl Cluesman and wife, Shelb y (who were there faithfully beside her every step of her journey showing her their never ending love for her); Darrell Cluesman, Jack Cluesman and wife, Irene; Clyde Cluesman and wife, Janice; sisters, Faye Edwards and husband, Jack; and Phyllis Dotson and husband, Marvin, numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff and volunteers at St. Mary's Residential Hospice for their loving care and also to the staff on the oncology floor at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital and Dr. Daniel Ibach, as well as to Morristown Hamblen Hospital, and Dr. Rajeev Gupta and Dr. Maria Arturi. The family will receive friends on Monday at First United Methodist Church from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with the service following at 6:30 p.m. , Reverend Scott Layer officiating. Interment will be in Jarnagin Cemetery following the service. Donations may be made to First United Methodist Church Meditation Garden Fund or Music Fund.
