Joseph Johnson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Joseph Randall Johnson, age 74 of Morristown passed away Tuesday, December 02, 2008. Preceded in death by parents, John Walter and Mary R. Johnson; brothers, Ross, Wayne, Wray and Carroll Johnson; sisters, Sue Johnson, Grace Quinton and Merle Jones. Survivors: Wife of 41 years: Ruby Johnson Son: Gary Randall Johnson Several nieces and nephews Special friends: Betty Talbott, Rhonda Dickenson and Dale Overholt Randall was a lifelong resident of Morristown and Hamblen County and he cared deeply for his friends and his community. He was a member of First Baptist Church Morristown and Wallen-Purkey Sunday School Class. He served four years as a Morristown City Council member, and as a member of the Hamblen County Election Commission for 17 years. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2008 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Dean Haun, Rev. Danny Georges and Dr. Ian Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Jarnagin Cemetery. The family will receive friends 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
