Franklin D. Yount

December 19, 1932 ~ March 7, 2018 (age 85)
Franklin "Frank" Yount age 85 of Morristown, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.
Born in Hickory, North Carolina to the late Ernest and Nettie Haun Yount. He became an Army Veteran and served during the Korean War. He became a teacher of all subjects and taught for many years in North Carolina, then moved to Morristown where he became the Director of Quality Control for Berkline 30 years. After retiring from Berkline he worked at Sears Department Store and Sherwin Williams part time. During his time in North Carolina he also became an ordained Lutheran Minister. He was a member of both Good Shepard Lutheran Church and Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Morristown.
Also preceding him in death were his brother: Buddy Yount; sister: Emma Kate Collins; wives: Mollie Stuart Yount and Edna Hall Yount and grandson: Anthony Yount.
Frank "Gramps" is survived by his children: Michael Yount, Paul Yount, Jonathan (Pam) Yount, Anita (Albert) Lee, Kurt (Peggy) Hall, Ken (Tonya) Hall, Kelly Stump and Kerry Hall. Grandchildren: Matthew Yount, Andrew Yount, Tanner (Britney) Yount, Jacob Lee, Anne Lee Joshua Lee, Lissy Lee, Camren Martin, Amanda Martin, Mollie Grace Yount, Laura Hall Craig, McKenlee Hall, Charlee Bise, and Terri Linn Lawson. Great grandchildren: Bentlee Bise, Bradley Coldwell and Annzlee Hall. Brother: Charles Yount and sisters: Jean Bradshaw, Betty Joe Laffone and Shirley Sherrill.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Mayes Mortuary with funeral services to follow at 3:00 with Rev. Gordon Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Jarnagin Cemetery.
