Edith Smith Hopkins, 97 years old passed away Sunday, February 15, 2009. Preceded in death by her parents: Porter and Bertie Smith, sisters: Estamae Smith Sartain, Laura and Iola Smith, brothers: Howard, Hobert, Harvey and Roy. Survived by several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Special thanks to wonderful caregivers Mildred Kinsler, Linda Gibson and Amedisys hospice Service. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 17, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Mayes Family Services with services following at 8:00, Rev. Don Holt officiating. The family will gather at 10:45 AM for an 11:00 AM, graveside service Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Jarnagin Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mike, Terry, Rodger, Trent, Jason, Freddie and Kent Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Zane Sartain and Dale Hopkins. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Food Pantry, 549 N. White Pine Rd, Talbott, TN 37877
