Cynthia Jo Guinn

February 25, 1954 ~ July 24, 2018 (age 64)
Cynthia Jo Guinn, aka Cindy, of Talbott, died Tuesday, July 24, at 6:45 PM at Morristown Hamblen Hospital where she had received compassionate care many times. She was the daughter of the late Doris Hensley and Jack Guinn and a sister to the late Shane Hensley.
Cindy leaves behind a sister: Cathy Mahurin; and several aunts, and uncles: Shirley and Bob Ware of Lenoir City, Wanda and Emit Corbin of Georgia, Patricia Smith of Illinois, and Joyce and Mark Holthaus of Kansas. Many cousins, friends, Lowe's Acres neighbors and former co workers at Raymond James will surley miss her, among them her dearest friend Susie Brown of Memphis. Also among those Cindy has most missed since her retirement are Donna, Stephen, Lee and Tommy. Missing her most of all will be her constant companion Maxwell, who rarely left her side for the four years they were together. Thank you to All Dogs for always being there when Cindy and Max needed them. Thank you, also to SCHAS, Alice, Connie and others that gave Cindy both professional and compassionate care, allowing her to live at home. Also making this possible were neighbors, Brigitte and Gabe and Al and Korry, who were always there for Cindy and enriched her life greatly. Thank you to Aaron, Tracy, and the Brewers who always answered calls for help.
Cindy would also thank Amazon, Zulilly and Wayfair for keeping her smiling. Cindy's life ended as she always lived it; she did it "Her way"- Looking as though she just stepped out of a fashion magazine with no hint of the ravages of her health.
Services for Cindy will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Mayes Mortuary with her cousins, Neal and Scott Phillips officiating. Family and friends will gather from 9:00 AM until services commence on Saturday.
Family and friends will then meet at 1:00 PM, at Chuckey Methodist Church Cemetery.
Anyone wishing to donate in Cindy's memory, she would heartily approve of St. Jude's, any animal rescue or shelter, or the Lee K. Russell Memorial, 237 Finley Drive, Lenoir City, 37771.
