Ronnie Mullins, formerly of Elkhorn City, KY, 74, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019 at his home in Bean Station, TN. He was born Dec. 16, 1944. Ronnie was retired from United Steel Workers of America and served as Financial Secretary for many years. Ronnie was a member of the Thomas C. Cecil Lodge #375 F & AM, Pikeville, Ky. He was an avid fisherman and one of the founding members of the Elkhorn City Bassmen. Founder of Ronnie Mullins & Sons, Inc., a utility company that installed many miles of water lines in Eastern Kentucky. He loved working with his sons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Opal Rose Mullins and his special uncle: Onsby (Bubby) Rose.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 55 years and high school sweetheart, Bonnie, and his three children: sons: Ronnie Dale Mullins and wife, Julie; and Michael Gene Mullins and wife, Lisa Lynn, all of Elkhorn City, KY; daughter: Barbara Michelle Bartley and husband, Kevin, of Bean Station, TN. Sisters: Kathy Lou Mullins and Retha Ann Belcher, and husband, Doug. Five grandchildren: Arron Mullins, Hillary Hershman, Audrey Mullins, Kaci Rae Bartley, and Dale Arlin Mullins. Several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with his family will be Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Elkhorn City United Methodist Church, funeral services will follow at 8:00 PM. Masonic services will begin at 6:00.
Graveside and interment services will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Hamblen Memory Gardens.
