BRIAN JAMES GARNER - passed away on June 15, 2019 at the age of 61, in his Morristown home. Brian fought with fervour and courage, against a two and a half year battle
with stage IV cancer. His resolve and fortitude through the toughest years of his life will go on as an example of strength and valor, for generations to come.
Brian was born on March 14, 1958 to be the third son and fourth oldest in a family of seven children. He joined the Army at the age of 17 in 1975. After 4 years he was stationed at
Walter-Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC, where he met his soon to be wife Dorothy Rose Martinez. Brian and Dorothy got married August 16, 1980. Soon after the two had their
first of three children. Brian was preceded in death; by his father Robert Garner, his mother Marie Greene, his brother Gregory Garner, his mother-in-law Thelma Martinez and father-in-law
Julian Martinez. Brian James Garner is survived by his wife Dorothy Rose Garner. His children; Juile Marie Garner and Justin Hodge, Brittany Jordan Stamey and Justin Stamey, Gregory
Mark Garner, Victoria Maria Audiss and Jason Audiss. His grand-children; Julian Stamey, Roselynn Stamey, Skyler Audiss, Nash Audiss and Grayson Audiss. His brothers; Donald Zell,
David Zell and Robert Garner. His sisters; Sherry Magnifico and Dena Magnifico. “To think of you is love. God is love, you are love, and as love is eternal then so are we. Life presents many questions and you gave us the answer… It’s all about the love!”
Services: Friday June 21, 2019 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church; Morristown, TN - 9:00 A.M. receiving of friends, 10:00 A.M. Mass/Funeral. 2:30 P.M. Burial at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN.
